Fast Facts about alameda Park in Butler, Pa - 1903 - 1935 (approx dates) as Trolley Park (people took the street car or trolley from downtown butler to the amusement park for the day - see 1909 Topo Map) - had a lake, carousel, roller coaster, picnic grove and 3-story pavilion for dancing, etc. - Park still exists as a community park. Carousel pavilion still in use. - current park is approx. 400 acres. Much is wooded. - Butler is currently adding roads to access more of the park area |
